Title: FunFest Volunteer

Job Summary:FunFest is the ACLS kickoff to Summer Reading.  Held on the 2nd Friday in June at the Gettysburg Rec Park, FunFest has a variety of positions available.

Locations: Off-site

Need: Varies by Position

FunFest Volunteer Positions:
●    Character
●    Character Wrangler
●    Data Collector
●    Parking Crew
●    Photographer
●    Photographer Assistant
●    Set Up
●    Signage
●    Summer Quest Registration
●    Vendor Liason
●    Walkie Talkie Wrangler
●    Clean Up

Standard Functions:
●    Is dependable and punctual
●    Maintains a positive, friendly and cooperative attitude and provides consistent customer service
●    Upholds all library policies and procedures of the Adams County Library System
●    Varies by position

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
●    Varies by position

Physical and Environmental Conditions
●    Work requires moderate physical effort in the handling of light materials, up to 30 pounds, in non-strenuous environment.  
●    Work also involves standing or walking up to 50% of the time.
●    Work involves being in outdoor environment

All volunteers must provide two Pennsylvania clearances. For those who have not lived in Pennsylvania for 10 years as of June 30, 2016, a Federal Criminal History Certification is also required. In addition, all library volunteers must complete online Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training. As a result of the revisions to the Child Protective Services Act, the Adams County Library System must ask you to comply with the new regulations.
