Connie Holland, retired chemist, Penn State Master Gardener and Gettysburg Garden Club member, will present a program titled, “Who Knew Vanilla Came From an Orchid?”.  Learn how the world’s most expensive extract is grown and produced from an orchid.  Hear how her vanilla article in the Gettysburg Times led to her participation in the international conference of Professional Confectioners Manufacturing Association and over forty pounds of candy.
