June’s event: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Class Description: Join Under The Horizon at Harbaugh-Thomas Library to dive into a world of growth, transformation, and creativity with The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle! In this fun and hands-on class, children will explore the magical journey of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly — and create their very own caterpillar sculpture out of clay! Under The Horizon is a professional pottery studio in Gettysburg, PA. We are excited to expand our outreach to the Library to encourage reading and foster creativity.

Suggested Age: 3-8 years old

All pieces will be crafted using professional-grade clay. After creation, and completion, the caterpillar will be returned to our studio, where our skilled instructors will fire it. The completed piece will be available for pickup at Under The Horizon within three weeks, ready to color and personalize at home.
