Program Description

Description

On these days elementary age children will be partnered with a teenager and as a team they will dive into hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math activities, creating solutions to challenges.  This is for children in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

 

JUNE 15: Coral Reef Creations:  Learn about coral reefs, where the biggest one is and create your own coral reef to take home.

JUNE 22:  Survival Island:  Can you survive?  We will test your ability to survive on a deserted island.

JUNE 29:  Lighthouse STEAM Challenge:  Learn about lighthouses, build your own and learn to send a Morse code message.

JULY 6:  Light up angler fish:  Learn about circuits and create a sight up angler fish

JULY 13:  Shark Week!:  Join us for a shark craft and activities

JULY 20:  Here Be Monsters:  Map-making day: learn about cartography then create your own map.

JULY 27:  Oil spill clean up:  What happens to the ecosystem when an oil spill happens?  What does it take to clean one up?  

AUGUST 3:  Oceans of Fun Trivia:  For our last Buddy session we will work together in teams to answer Ocean Trivia.
