Staying Healthy in the Summer
Wednesday, June 28
6:30 PM

Summer is nature's season for growth and maturation. For example, spring lambs are becoming
sheep and apple blossoms are becoming apples. Summer also gives us the opportunity to
connect with others. We get together at picnics, fire pits, on the beach, and on our front porches.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Heart is associated with the season of summer.
On a very deep level, true well-being comes when you have a peaceful and joyful Heart. If the Heart
is not peaceful, you may experience insomnia, bad dreams/nightmares, feeling restlessness
and/or uneasiness, mental cloudiness, or a general ‘dull’ feeling. If you are interested in learning
how your body works from a TCM perspective; if you are interested in learning safe and natural
ways to follow and use the energy of Summer to stay healthy, then this class is for you.

Renee Lehman, MS, PT, MAC, Licensed Acupuncturist and Physical Therapist, will present practical
self-care practices (including Lifestyle recommendations, Qigong movements, and Eating for
Healing) to help you support your body’s energy (Qi).
