The goal for Twisted Sisters is to share our love of fiber arts by hand spinning. We meet monthly, the third Friday from 10-12, and welcome anyone interested in learning about spinning and spinning wheels.

Do you need to register to vote or update your information? Whether you’re a new adult or a not so new adult, just stop by our voter registration drive and we’ll help you out!

All needle crafters are welcome to join.

Don’t know how to knit, crochet, or cross-stitch? That’s okay! Bring your own materials and be ready to learn!

On the first and third Thursdays of each month, bring your machine and current project. This group gets together to work on charity quilts as well as personal projects. Beginners welcome.

Use our supplies to color a picture of your choice, and then complete the look with a repurposed frame! All supplies provided. Or, if you have your own pics and coloring supplies, feel free to bring them along.

Get in the mood for fall with a seasonal blockbuster! Popcorn and beverages provided. Register online or by calling the library to secure a spot!

Join us for a drop-in knitting time for knitters of all levels. Don’t know how to knit? Stop by and learn! Conversation and creativity abound.

Children ages 3-5 are invited to a storytime that will prepare them for kindergarten by practicing pre-academic skills (letters, numbers, calendar, and fine motor skills) through books and activities. 

We hope to engage our readers by offering books with a variety of story lines, genres, pacing, characters, and moods. Mostly we read fiction, but may include one or two nonfiction titles over the course of the year.

Adults and Teens

Join us for some sparkly fun. Bring your own project, or once a month select a small kit from our collection!

Join us at the New Oxford Library for a monthly Saturday afternoon screening of a classic film.

On this afternoon prior to sundown, we will be expecting the Super Harvest Moon to rise in the eve. In its anticipation, come paint celestial shapes in the colors of autumn: reds, oranges, yellows and browns will highlight our palettes.

Join us for ice cream sundaes during our homecoming celebration! Face painting will also be available so you can show off your school spirit.

This is your invitation to play…dough! This is a special program just for our big kids. We’ll have themed stations where you can explore and create with play dough. For ages 5-12. 

Come decorate a pot and take home your very own succulent. Registration required.

Dogs can help struggling readers build confidence by being patient and non-judgemental while kids are reading aloud. Stop by and read to our lovable and patient therapy dog, Danny!

Are you a beginner at chess and want to learn? Are you an experienced chess player and want to test your skills? Drop in on Mondays from 6:00pm-7:45pm to watch and play with a local chess aficionado. All ages and all skill levels welcome!

This group meets on Mondays at 6:30 pm via Zoom.
