The goal for Twisted Sisters is to share our love of fiber arts by hand spinning. We meet monthly, the third Friday from 10-12, and welcome anyone interested in learning about spinning and spinning wheels.

JUN 26: The Great Wall of China

Let your imagination come out of the box.  There will be cardboard boxes of various sizes to transform into whatever you like. What will you imagine?  Materials will be provided

Get ready for a creative adventure combining crafting and pretend play! Our young patrons will transform into tiny explorers and get the opportunity to go on a “treasure hunt” while wearing their new outdoor explorer uniforms.

Come discuss books with fellow Littlestown bibliophiles! Check with the library for copies of the current selection.

JUN 18: The Maid by Nita Prose 

All needle crafters are welcome to join. Don’t know how to knit, crochet, or cross-stitch? That’s okay!

Drop-ins welcome. No registration required.

On the first and third Thursdays of each month, bring your machine and current project. This group gets together to work on charity quilts as well as personal projects. Beginners welcome.

We hope to engage our readers by offering books with a variety of story lines, genres, pacing, characters, and moods. Mostly we read fiction, but may include one or two nonfiction titles over the course of the year.

Adults and Teens are welcome. Register your own team of 3-4 people, or we will help you join up with others to create a 3-4 person team at this Jigsaw Puzzle Contest. All teams will be provided with the same 500 piece puzzle.

This program is for teens and adults with developmental disabilities and other needs.  There will be a craft and other activities to participate in.

Join us at the community park to enjoy the art of En Plein Air, a French phrase meaning "in the open air". This is a process of painting the open air scenery to create a masterpiece. Supplies and snacks will be provided.

Come relax and enjoy an afternoon of diamond painting. Participants will have several options of summer-themed paintings to choose from, varying from keychains, plant stakes, and more.

Are you the best cupcake decorator in the county? Come on down to your local branch to show off your skills. During this competition you will be decorating cupcakes for your chance at a prize. The winners will be selected by a local judge.

Let’s take an adventure exploring parts of North America.  Our first stop will be visiting beautiful Alaska. The Second stop will happen at the majestic national parks out west in Arizona and Utah.

JR Rouzer, a local author and illustrator, will be sharing an excerpt of her non-fiction children’s book “The World Around You: Under Your Feet” on July 17th at 4:30 PM.

Join us one afternoon a month at the New Oxford Library with your latest read!  Our BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) Book Club allows you to bring the book you're reading, a favorite book, or one that you just finished, and share it with other teen

Dogs can help struggling readers build confidence by being patient and non-judgemental while kids are reading aloud. Stop by and read to our lovable and patient therapy dog, Danny!

Are you a beginner at chess and want to learn? Are you an experienced chess player and want to test your skills? Drop in on Mondays from 6:00pm-7:45pm to watch and play with a local chess aficionado. All ages and all skill levels welcome!

Come down to the Carroll Valley Library to show off your skills. 

During this competition, you will be decorating cupcakes for a chance to win a prize.

Writers of any level and any genre (fiction, poetry, nonfiction, etc) are invited to this group! We'll be honing our craft together with some prompts and also have space for critique and discussion of projects at any stage.

All Ages Welcome! Reptile Invasion is a 501c3 Reptile Rescue bringing you up close and personal with over 20 different types of scaly friends. Feel free to interact with our educational ambassadors or just sit back and watch.

Teens 12-18 can come in for a relaxing evening of making their own diamond painting coasters! Snacks and supplies will be provided.
