Program Description

Description

March 25 is Tolkien Reading Day, and the library is celebrating with a Dungeons & Dragons one-shot inspired by The Hobbit! This is an event designed with both lifelong Tolkien fans and complete newcomers in mind. All are welcome!

Join a band of adventurers in search of Bilbo's mythical stone trolls in the years just before The Lord of the Rings. Miles of rugged country beyond Bree-land stand between you and one of the most peculiar landmarks in recent history, and who knows who (or what) you will encounter along the way!

Participants are encouraged to read or watch the portions of The Hobbit centered on Bilbo Baggins's encounter with the trolls, although this is not required.

The information for character creation will be sent out one week before the session (pre-made characters are available upon request)!
