The SMRR connected Carlisle to Pine Grove Furnace in Cumberland County. Constructed 1868-1869, this line was associated with the Cumberland Valley RR as well as the business interests of Jay Cooke, owner of Pine Grove Ironworks. Presented by local historian and chairman of the Friends of Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Andre Weltman.
