Hospital Scenes: Stories from a Civil War Nurse in 1863 Gettysburg

Nurse Martha Ehler from Lancaster,PA served as a volunteer nurse for nearly two months following the Battle of Gettysburg.  Eileen Hoover has been a member of the cast of the program titled " Songs and Stories from a Civil War Hospital '' program which is held at Christ Lutheran Church on Chambersburg St. in Gettysburg.  She will read excerpts from Nurse Ehler's book including two accounts of dying soldiers' final moments.
