The Harbaugh-Thomas Library, a branch of the Adams County Library System (ACLS), opens gateways for exploration.  We do this by providing a welcoming environment containing library materials, programs, meeting rooms and more for all ages.  The children’s area includes a classroom-size set of blocks and a rotating group of building toys selected to encourage children’s development. Computers with internet access and wi-fi are available for use.

Our collection includes print books, music CDs, DVDs, magazines and audiobooks on CD which check out for three weeks to anyone with a valid ACLS library card.  Our collection then extends beyond what you can see on the shelves to include our digital audiobooks, e-books, online magazines, online music service and many online reference databases.  We request items from other libraries within the county, and beyond.  Stop by for friendly, knowledgeable assistance from our staff.

Furthermore, we offer programming all year to connect people to opportunities to enrich their lives. These include weekly fun and educational storytimes for babies and young children, a teen book club, an adult book club, and a weekly knitting group.  We show movies in our newly upgraded Community Room, and host other special performers and events throughout the year. Check our events calendar to stay updated on what is happening each month!
