Trone Memorial Library Now Qualifies for EITC Funding From Local Businesses

The Jean Barnett Trone Memorial Library in East Berlin has just qualified to be an educational improvement organization under the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program. As you may know, businesses can consider these approved organizations to receive their non-profit donations and in turn receive tax credits in PA, so it is a win-win for both the businesses and non-profits like the library. The tax credit is applied to their PA business taxes owed. All businesses get a copy of this list when they register for the EITC program: https://dced.pa.gov/educational-improvement-organizations/. JBT is also the first library in our area to be on the list!

If you know of any interested PA businesses looking for EITC tax credits, JBT would love for you to promote the library and our STEAM Saturdays where students can come in once a month and learn interactively about Science, Technology, Arts, and Mathematics topics. This is especially needed in our area since we are located between Gettysburg and York with very limited access to such activities for free or at a reduced cost. JBT's Director (contact info below) is available to assist with any questions about the program.

All of these donations will be used for the children's STEAM Saturday programs which run year round on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
