            The Friends of the Adams County Library System is an organization of concerned Adams County citizens who donate their time and/or money in support of the Library's programs.  The money raised through membership dues, the Friends Bookstore and an annual Used Book Sale Bonanza in August, goes directly to the Library System to purchase additional copies of bestsellers, provide story times for children and bring interesting speakers into the libraries to educate and entertain.

            Last year in 2007, 549 individuals and families became members of the Friends and contributed $18,055 in membership dues. The Friends’ pledge to ACLS again in 2008 will be $60,000. About one-third of those funds comes from membership dues.  We need your help this year so we can meet our obligation in this regard.

·      Your donations are tax deductible

·      Friends receive a 20% discount at the Friends Book Store.

·      Contributions received after October 31 are considered as a membership for the following year.
