Apply for a Library Card
Any resident of Adams County, or child of a resident of Adams County, is eligible for a free library card.
You can register online for a library card. Your card will be mailed to you, and you will have to verify your address the first time you check out materials.
You may also register for a library card at any library facility in the county. Please bring a form of ID that verifies you live in Adams County. Acceptable forms of ID are driver’s license, first class mail delivered to your home, deed or lease agreements.
Once your card is created, you will be registered in our system and can use any library service.
You may choose to create an online account, which allows you to renew materials, place materials on hold or access our library databases. To access your account:
- Enter your Patron ID. This is the 14-digit number on the back of your library card. Enter it as if it is a single number, no space.
- Enter your PIN. This is the last four digits of your patron ID. You can change your pin number in your account, however, if you do there is no way for us to let you know what that new pin number is.
A card is good for three years. You can renew your card by verifying that the address is correct.
