Join us for the first meeting of our Cookbook Club!

Choose a recipe listed on our newest database, AtoZ World Food, from any Scandinavian Country (Denmark, Norway, and Sweden). Make the recipe at home and bring your creation to the Gettysburg Library on Thursday, October 5th at 6:30 pm to dine and discuss with like-minded home cooks!

Join Patty Hegberg and George Matthew as they cook up fun and food in this family program, built around the wonderful book: Apples to Oregon, by Deborah Hopkinson and Nancy Carpenter. Enjoy this "(Slightly) True Narrative of How a Brave Pioneer Father Brought Apples, Peaches, Pears, Plums, Grapes, and Cherries (And Children) Across the Plains", as brought to life by "Mr. George", and learn how "Miss Patty" makes her scrumptious apple breakfast bars.

There will be samples!
